Wow, its been a while since I wrote the last time. Many things have happened since then. My brother, after his cataract surgery, followed up with a retinal specialist. He was such a dick, and very rude. We went to get a second opinion from Dr. Vivian Kim and she was so awesome, nice, and efficient with her time. She understands her patients, and makes sure you don't leave without fully understanding what her medical opinion is. So, he had a buckle put into place because Dr. Kim found 2 retinal detachments, and during the surgery she decided to also do another procedure she had mentioned. The vitrectomy would render him to keep his head parallel to the ground because of the bubble placed into his eye. For 6 weeks, he had to keep him head down 24/7. Sleeping was the worst part because I had to make sure he kept his head face down throughout the night.
We had regular check ups, and he was healing well. He now can see more, which is a blessing, but just can't see well. That's okay, its always corrective, so he can get glasses later. It's been a ride.
Our church just got done with our VBS, and this is the first year we didn't spend months planning and prepping. We literally got it all done in 2 weeks, unbelievable. The kids had fun, and I hope we were able to bring some to Christ. What a blessing.
I start school tomorrow, so we shall see how that goes. I'm pretty excited!!
